Carolina PC Pros provides a variety of business support services to fit your
needs. We offer both hourly and discounted contract PC support and maintenance services
for your desktop, laptop, and server systems. We also provide backup and recovery
services, and will provide quoted services for customers with specific requirements.

Business customers get priority scheduling. You can reduce your support costs by purchasing
prepaid blocks of support, or by arranging regularly scheduled services. Call or email us
to discuss discounts. We want to encourage you to keep your systems updated, backed up,
and secure. By offering discounted rates, we hope to make easier for you to get the service
you need.
We can monitor your servers for problems and insure updates are being applied.
We can add users to your server, organize groups of users and manage shared files and folders.
Backing up your valuable business data is one of the most important computer maintenance
functions for a business. Unfortunately backups are often neglected. We can help you create
a backup strategy to keep your data safe, or we can come onsite and perform backups for
you. Using tape backup systems, CD-R or DVD-R drives, or external hard disk drives, we
will work with you to insure that your valuable business data is safe.
We strongly
recommend that business keep a copy of their backups offsite in a fireproof safe
or safe deposit box.
This service is a general check of the health of your PCs. PCs tend to slow down and become
unstable over time. Programs create lots of temporary files and then don't delete them.
When (not if) Windows crashes, it often leaves things in a mess. We can clean up your PCs
to improve performance. We also check the system logs for any potential problems.
Need more memory to improve your system's performance? Need a faster video card to run
AutoCAD? Out of space on your hard drives? We can upgrade your systems for you.
We can install and configure software for you or provide assistance with Microsoft
Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Access) as well as other application packages.
We will install, configure, and troubleshoot your business network. We can
set up your systems to share files, printers, and your Internet connection.
We have experience with cable modems, DSL modems, Cable/DSL routers, print servers,
hubs, and switches. We can monitor your bandwidth usage and help troubleshoot problems
that result in network slowdowns. We have experience with both wired and wireless
networking. Wireless networking can be particulary cost effective in older buildings
without wired cable runs, and provides flexibility as to system placement.
We can set up firewall hardware and software to help protect your systems. A firewall is
a program that blocks unauthorized computers from accessing your computer and its data.
A firewall is the first line of defense against people trying to break into your systems.
If you have a wireless network, your data may be at risk. Generally, when you purchase wireless
network equipment, it is configured to broadcast identification information and to transmit your
data without any security enabled. Other wireless equipment users may be able to easily connect
to your shared files, printers, or Internet connection. We will disable unneeded broadcasts,
disable access to your network except from your authorized machines, and turn on data encryption,
which scrambles the data while it is being transmitted. These steps go a long way towards keeping
hackers out of your computers.
We can help you interface your computer to your smartphone, Blackberry, or PDA.
Quoted services are available for the services described below. In the event that the
scope of the service changes, the job can be requoted, or you can elect to only have
the quoted service performed. The minimum quote for any on-site services will be the
same as the one-hour rate ($125 or $100 if your are a Contract Services customer).
Based on your design or one of our sample layouts, we can get your message out on the Internet.
If you want to advertise your business, or provide another method of customer contact,
we can help you create your site! This is a quoted service based on your requirements.
